My name is Peter Fisher, living in Nelson, the best place in New Zealand. I have been working within the wider construction industry since leaving school and recently completed almost thirty four and a half years (34.5 yrs) as a Construction and Quarry Inspector for the Department of Labour. I offer you and your company a consultancy service to undertake what my company motto reflects: 'helping you to provide a healthy safer workplace'.

I offer this as a professional service to assist you to understand and create your own systems to meet your legal obligations under this government legislation. I will travel to assist you anywhere in New Zealand. For a full comprehensive list of services, refer to the 'Services' menu item or call/email me for further information.

I am very knowledgeable on Standards relating to Earthmoving Equipment and offer this assistance. I am the International Standards Organistion (ISO) expert for Standards New Zealand on this subject, and have been in this role for the past 10 years with ISO TC 127. I was assistant chairperson for the creation of the ISO Standard for Rollover Protective Structures on Excavators. This followed my writing of the Code of Practice for ROPS on Earthmoving Equipment for the Department of Labour, gazzetted in Dec 1999.

I am very familiar with small to large or self employed companies within the wider construction industry including roading, excavations, asbestos, scaffolding, tower/bridge building, quarrying, port operations, fish farming and hazardous substances, but not limited to these.

I strive to ensure that my clients are provided with a professional ongoing service and will maintain regular updates and be available at all times for ongoing advice/service. I have no ongoing service contract fees, just a professional service at reasonable costs.

I provide an Incident/Accident Investigation service of an event and prefer to be involved, as soon as, after the event occurs so we can provide the correct advice on how to proceed with meeting your legal obligations.

I can also assist those employers wishing to obtain the ACC Workplace Safety Discount (WSD) scheme for 'small business' within my wider experienced fields.
